What you’ll find
Wooden chalets with mulled wine, jenever and Bruges specialities, a covered ice rink on Market Square and a light trail through the city centre. On Simon Stevinplein you’ll find the craft stalls, a little quieter than on Market Square.
Our tips
Go on a weekday after 17:00, when there’s plenty of atmosphere but it isn’t too busy. Park outside the centre and walk along the Dijver to Market Square. Take the kids to the ice rink and finish with a hot chocolate at The Old Chocolate House.
From Den Eenink
By car you’re at the ’t Zand car park in a quarter of an hour. You can also take the bus from Loppem to Bruges station, so you don’t have to park in town at all. After your evening at the Christmas market you come home to peace and quiet, a hot shower and a big table for breakfast the next morning.
